A Year

Wow. It's been awhile. I've had a crazy year. I think I am getting close to a place where I can relax and start work again. My wife Sara and I are building a small house out in Windham and it has been a process. That along with a gagillion other things has set me back in this and a few other projects. But! I am ready to muscle through and get some thin gs done. So, lets go.

note from an editor

Photobucket
well! it seems the first step in the process of making maine macabre into a reality has occurred. i sent a publisher my proposal for the book and promptly received a letter from an editor who is ready and willing to help me pitch the idea. this is a huge step for me in making this project take flight. so celebrations are in order... or... a ton of work is in order! woo.

Welcome to the Maine Macabre...

Photobucket
this blog is designated to hopefully be the breeding place for tales of the darker and stranger side of new england. tales from the folklore of the people live, dead and undead from the north east. i am a resident of maine and i have always been interested in the lore of other cultures from greek mythology to irish ghost and faery stories to stories my gramp has told me. i am an artist now living in portland working to compile stories and record them. i am working on a few projects right now, one of them being a book called "Maine Macabre". i am hoping that i might get some sort of communal excitement about the fun of remembering old tales and hearing/telling new stories.
so, if you feel up to it, i would love to hear your stories, be them funny, scary, weird or otherwise. let's get them out there and enjoyed.
